290x showing 2048mb of memory?

On AMD Catalyst control center my 290x is showing 2048mb where it says memory size but the 290x is 4gb so im slightly confused? Any reasons why?

Drivers, dud or fake card. GPU-Z as mentioned will light the way.

Ditto, GPU-Z for the truth. Could have a damaged memory controller, I guess.

Thanks guys. i contacted amazon and it was a used card so i guess it was defective or fake. I had a panic on but now i'm fine phew!
