Would I be better off keeping my 280x aka 7970? Or upgrading. I know I should wait for benchmarks, but do you as a guess think it would be better than my 280x? The 480 that is. Im thinking about how the 280x was as good or better than the 380x. Do you think amd has created a card that is better than my 280x?

280X is better than 380. 380X destroys 280X. Difference... 380X compares with 290, so unless you have the insanely overclo0cked VaporX 280X, then no, 380X is better than 280X, and 480 will most likely outperform 380X if the stats are anything to go by...
Depends on what monitor you have and if you are predisposed to getting the latest AAA games or not.
