256 gb flash drive recommendations?

Hi there! so i need a flash drive with 256gb of storage for school and general use. Can anyone recommend a compact flash drive that can right incredibly fast? I know that compact and fast don't go hand in hand. I am looking for a flash drive that can wright at 75MB or better. Size is important to me because if the drive is too wide it will cover other ports on my ultrabook; like my corsair gt flash drive does. If it is too long like my old sandisk extreme was ill end up snapping it in half. :(

Unfortunately that's the same footprint as my old corsair GT, which covers other ports when its plugged in.

does your ultrabook have an SD card slot? some claim up to 90MBps. You could use a usb 3.0 adapter for something that doesn't

Yes, I am using it for "on-board storage" do to the lack there of.
