Hello. I would love to hear a disussion of what's the best Gaming Rig for 2500$
Discussed on to-be-released and new games, such as BF3 on Max Settings!
Well this rig is pretty much solid and i spent a good half an hour on it

that really should kick ass
2011 build:

1155 build:

I personally like the 1155 build more because you don't really need all that extra RAM and processing power from the 2011 build, and you get some better quality parts with the 1155 build. You get a great sound card and faster and better storage. I would personally put those two caviar black drives into RAID 0, and use the SSD as a boot drive and also to store your most used programs.
Why would you go with AMD for a $2500 build? That doesn't make any sense.
sorry my mistake it swear i put on a intel :@ anyway here is the link to the actual one http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qVel
and Vortex ur link to the 1155 build isnt correct
I fixed it.
why would u get a 8150 with a water cooling kit and get a h80
A locked Cpu? For $2500 that is stupid
Yeah, that's why I like the 1155 platform more right now. You can do a lot more with it for less money. The only reason to go 2011 is if you have a crazy amount of disposable income or are just going to be using it exclusively for rendering or other CPU intensive applications.
Its not locked, easy overclock to 4.7ghz (not locked as in unclockable). Just a bit more skill orientated.
It IS locked, as in the CPU multiplier is locked and is limited after a certain point.

It's what i'd build, maybe buy a second HDD, or drop to 1155 and build a loop (since i'd like to overvolt the shit out of that 680) of course i have a hyperX and 4TB of storage so i'd only buy the cache so witht he 1155 option i could score a 690.

I always liked the idea of just having a high quality feature filled motherboard. Plus this build has all the performance plus some that I'll need for gaming and average stuff.
