£240 to spend on PC

Okay, so my birthday has just passed, and I have £240 to spend on a PC, excluding the following components:
- Case
- PSU
- GPU

It would be awesome if anyone could point me in the right directions to websites that offer the best prices on RAM, a HDD at anywhere between 500gb to 1tb, a decent motherboard and preferably an i5 CPU.
This machine is likely to be receiving lots of upgrades as time goes along, and will primarily be used for gaming, I prioritize framerates over graphical fedelity, and I'm in the UK.
Thanks!

Hmmm an i5 with a mere budget of £240.... hmmmm seeing as the lowest end ivy bridge i5 rocks at around £130-140 thats a major issue.

May I suggest switching to one of the AMD FX 6 cores (FX-6350 usually around £100). Okay it may not be as powerful in single threaded applications. However the AMD side of things tend to be cheaper. (Why they are recommended on price to performance)

What GPU and PSU do you have already? Also what is the motherboard limitations on of your case? (mATX, ATX etc.)

£240 is not going to get a i5 gameing rig,a i5 cpu alone will cost you £160+

Thanks for the reply :D
The case is full ATX, and I had been recommended to go for AMD CPUs if I was looking for better prices. The plan for the GPU is using my sucky Nvidia 210 (I'll get buy playing some lower spec games for now) and then proceed saving, until I can preferably get a Nvidia gtx 650 of some sort.

I may actually go for this build exactly.
Only change the ram for this:
