$2100 Gaming Build

Hi, my friend is building a gaming PC so I thought I'd bring him here for help.

  • Not overclocking
  • Keeping the case

This is the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mRQsnQ

I have ask why no overclocking? Really if he's not going to  why not save $40 on the cooler, $30 by getting a 4770 and around $80-100 by getting a lower end ASUS?

He could pocket the difference or buy a good mouse and a better case.

Overclocking isn't really that difficult. If he was really a bit offish when it came to it you get a lower end ASUS Z97 board and use their overclocking UI to have it done for him.

I took your advice revised the build. Looks great. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/4sYZzy

For future expansion, or if a new graphics card comes out I would get an 850w PSU. But you can do fine without it. Look great.

Here's something to chew on:

That looks interesting...
Here's the final build.
