Hello everybody!
I recently acquired a Xeon 2609 v3 processor and a stick of 8GB ECC ram. I figured I would throw this into a gaming build. Before everybody says "this is a server processor it's not meant for gaming", yes I am aware. I want to put this in a gaming build because eventually I would like to upgrade to a 5820k.
I put a build together here: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cNKwQ7
I would like to stay under a price of $700 for this build. I was wondering if anybody would like to put a build together that might be better, or would include something I overlooked. I do not need any hard drives as I have plenty of those lying around. I appreciate any help anybody is willing to offer!
Thank!
- Zachary
Edit: Also I would like to be able to go SLI in the future, but that's not something that would be required for this build. Also, yes I am aware the 5820k does not support ECC ram, I would be upgrading my ram as well when I would upgrade to the 5820k.
