$20 PC - How did I do?

I just bought a used computer for $20.

CPU: Q9450 Quad-Core 2.66GHz LGA 775 95W
Motherboard: Intel DX48BT2
GPU: Asus 9600GT 512MB
RAM: 4GB Generic DDR3-1333 in Dual-Channel
Hard Drive: 750gb Seagate
PSU: Antec generic
Case: Antec big bad chassis.

I made the following changes: Added Hitachi Deskstar for extra storage. Installed Ubuntu server for testing.

Everything on the PC seems to work great. Looks like it was being used as a server at one point. I'm thinking of maybe dropping in a newer video card and giving it to a friend who is into Unity Development. Is that a reasonable idea?

Thanks for checking out my topic, just wanted to share a great deal I got.

That is one nice deal! Getting a DDR3 capable machine at that price is great. The board maxes out at 8 Gigs of RAM.

damm that's better than my own pc :o
i got an q6600.....

I'll you did very well good sir. Just replace the GPU with something a little beefier and its all good.

Put it new fans I had laying around; stock haswell cooler for heatsink and T4 clipon fan for the case fan.

You did great kid. I stumbled on my wealth similar to how you stumbled on that PC. Hope you didn't stub your toes :)

Nice! put something like a 380 in there and it would be one hell of a console killer!
