2 weeks of Ubuntu

After a fortnight of using only Ubuntu I have a couple of questions?

I no longer walk in CS:GO, in windows I used the ALT key(due to pinky finger problems) but in Ubuntu this causes problems. In settings/ keyboard/ shortcuts I have changed show HUD to "right ALT" but still in CS:GO left ALT doesn't make me walk.
Any ideas would be appreciated as I have 700+ hrs playing this way and a dodgy pinky which means CTRL & Shift are no good?

Photo related I have just downloaded Coral After Shot 2 on trial to see how it works. I've tried Rawtherapee and Darktable and neither are quite what I want, but I plan to stop my Adobe Creative Cloud photo subcription this month so any other advice on Photography software would be excellent.

Thanks in advance, all advice is gratefully received :-)

There is always Gimp, but other than that, I don't really know. Someone around here is bound to though.

As for the keybinding thing, I have no idea. Try messing with the settings more and see what you can accomplish. I don't know what the options menu looks like as I don't play CSGO, but what does it say that crouch is set to? Does it actually show left ALT and then just not do anything?

If you really wanna get into the knitty-gritty of it, you could try using a tool like xev, or evtest to see what that key is actually doing, and then use xkeybind to map it to something that the game might actually understand.

In CS:GO it lets me map ALT no problem but when I press it in game it does respond properly, just stops all other keys responding.
Thanks for the heads up on Gimp.

Thanks for that, I do like to get to the knitty-gritty but may have to wait until the weekend.

It's actually not as bad is it might seem. It's really well documented, you might be able to knock it out before the weekend.

Check out Digicam and Darktable for a lighroom replacement

GIMP for photo editing.

Inkscape for illustrator

Dunno about CS:GO don't play it.
