2 display outputs on mobo for iGPU?

Various am5 motherboards have dp and hdmi outputs on the back. Does this mean the am5 iGPU can drive 2 monitors?

Yes

Yes, on my Asus ProArt Creator 670e, I currently have 3 monitors being driven by the iGPU. This motherboard has two USB4 ports and I’m using USBC to Displayport cables to two of my monitors. The third monitor is using the HDMI port with a standard HDMI cable.

but beware, if im not mistaken not all amd cpu SKU have integrated GPU

All AM5 CPUs do. We’re talking about AM5 here

AMD lists a maximum of 4 displays via the integrated graphics. Pretty much the same as Intel.

I am going to upgrade my 10600k this year for better flight simming. Having a 4kscreen for the main game screen, I also use another widescreen for discord and web browsing. I also have 2 small flat panels to which I export aircraft instrumentation. That uses up all 4 ports on the GPU. I am hoping to move the widescreen to a motherboard display so I can add yet another miniscreen for aircraft instrumentation. And there are still additional aircraft instruments I can export as well as a kneeboard to even more displays if I had the outputs. Fortunately, these additional minidisplays are not that expensive (<$100 for a 1024x768 10 inch IPS panel with HDMI input) . Their content also does not require 3D rendering so their impact on FPS is negligible. The other solution I am pondering is the purchase of a Quadro P1000 for the additional 4 displayport outputs. This single slot NVIDIA card would pair well with my primary GPU (3090) but I’d need a motherboard with a free PCIE3.0 slot far enough away from the primary GPU slot. So many motherboards these days skimp on the PCIE slots. I remember run of the mill mobos with 5 slots or more. The MSI Meg ACE seems to be in the running for me (when it’s price comes down from the stratosphere)
