A year after promising myself I wouldn’t spend any more money on 10GbE hardware, here I am looking for a small desktop switch that meets the following requirements:
- At least one 10GbE SFP+ port
- At least one other 10GbE port, either Base-T (preferred) or SFP+
- At least two 2.5GbE Base-T ports
- At least one additional Base-T port
- Managed or AT LEAST can passively switch 802.1q trunked traffic
My budget is $270 since that’s what another CRS305 and the appropriate auto-negotiating Base-T transceivers would cost. My current ecosystem is mostly UniFi and some MikroTik but I’m desperate enough that I’m willing to add a third vendor if it’s a good fit.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions! In the meantime I’ll be off watching Serve The Home switch reviews…
