OKay so im getting a new mother board, and im wondering if i can use my old hard drive to my new mother board/computer, i have a 1 tb right now
yeah, but if you have an OEM OS license, you'll need to buy a new license... oem versions are tied to the mobo
You can transfer the license just call up Microsoft and tell them you've bought a new motherboard because the old one died. It doesn't matter how many times you replace parts, etc. They just don't want you running one key on multiple machines at the same time.
