Just a quick update: I managed to find the SX8200 Pro for 160€ and on top of that a 5% coupon brought it to 152€.
At that price, I just went for it.
The boot time is absolutely ridiculous and the system seems even more responsive than before.
I suppose I could benchmark it now that it’s loaded up with applications, if you’d be interested. Although, I don’t really see a difference in 3ds Max start up times, there is a slight increase in speed in AutoCAD startup.
