$1600 Gaming build

I need help building my first PC. I don't know much, AMD or Intel? Nvidia or AMD? EVGA or MSI? Corsair or Kingston?

I was thinking of Nvidia and Intel since alot of people say that they are the best for high cost/hugh end systems. Logan has often recommended the 2500K so I was thinking of picking that one, with a 670 or 7950.

See if you could find a cheap 7970 somewhere instead they're priced near 670's.

sapphire's is $370 ish

Is the 7970 better then the 670? I could also go with a GTX 680

Here's what I've come up with:

CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116504

MOBO: ASUS Maximus V Formula - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131934

RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance @2133mhz 9-11-10-30 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233276

GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202008

SSD: 120GB Kingston HyperX 3K - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820239045

HDD: 1TB Western Digital RE4 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136798

Case: NZXT Switch 810 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146089

PSU: Seasonic X750 Gold - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151087

CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181032

What are you going to be using this computer for btw? We might want to make a few minor tweaks depending on what you're using it for, but this would be a great gaming and all around rig.

One thing to also keep in mind is that you're going to have to manually set the speed and timings for the RAM I've chosen. People have been saying in the reviews that the XMP profile on ASUS motherboards doesn't match up with the RAM, so you have to set it up yourself.

Also, I usually try to stay away from closed loop water cooling systems just because I think there are better values out there for the money, but the Corsair H100i is the best CPU cooler out there right now unless you're building a custom water loop. I've seen benchmarks and it looks like the H100i is between 7 and 10 degrees cooler than the original H100, which completely blows my mind because it's not all that different from the original.

I should state. This does include a monitor keyboard mouse. And still has room for a headset.
