$1500 Gaming PC

Hey guys i plan on building a pc soon and i'd love some advice on the components. I want to be able to run games on ultra at 60 fps+ and i'm still debating whether i should go for a 1440p or 1080p monitor. none of the accessories are gonna compromise the budget but if you guys have any monitor recommendations those are also much appreciated.

I've come up with these two options

Thanks for the help you guys are EPIC :)

what kind of graphics card you want.. also note... the parts you currently have are at that price budget.

nvm lol... i'd waite tell newyears for the after market coolers for the 290x and go for that. also, i'd look into the 1440p

k thanks

What about the 840 EVO? It's newer and faster (and slightly more expensive). And besides having a more futureproof pc i don't think the extra 8GB of ram and the i7 is going to have more performance than jus 8GB and an i5.

Ultimately, it depends on you and what you want to do on this system.

Will you just game on it? How long do you want to keep it? The i7 would be better for longer periods and also good for rendering and so on. But if you'll just game on it, then the i5 and 290x might be a better choice.

Either way it's gonna be a beast of a PC.

I plan on just gaming and then just run of the mill computer stuff

How long do you plan on keeping your PC? 2 years? More?

If you want to keep it more than 2 years, then I would go with the i7, and sell and upgrade the GPU in the future if I need to. (or even add another one)

If you'll be buying a brand new system in 2 or even 3 years, then I would go with the i5 and the stronger GPU.

It really depends on you. If I were in your place, I would buy the i5 and the 290x for these two reasons:

1. The i5 is very fast - you don't even need to overclock it to play games at max.

2. The 290x has 4GB vRAM, which I like.

The first one, the one with the r290x.
