If your gaming and not editing you dont need 16gb ram, 8 is more than good. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1weGX
so with this build we have a kraken x60 and 256gb ssd gtx780 and i5
for haswel you'll get the same performance out of any z87 board so I found a cheaper one that seems to have all the i/o as the msi MB.
Instead of buying a 1tb hd and 120gb ssd. I combined the cost for the two and got one 256gb ssd thinking you can just add mass storage when the time comes. its cheaper than upgreading your ssd later and less of a pain than backing up your os and reinstalling a year form now.
Altenative gpu setups
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1weTG (if you only runing one monitor)
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1weWJ (2x 760's will net you the same fps as one 780 in games that us sli.)
here is a link to see benchmarks http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/geforce_gtx_760_sli_review,1.html
CPU Cooler: It preforms the same as the H100i and is 20 dollars cheaper.
MotherBoard: The MPOWER has better overclocking potential.
RAM: you don't need 2400 MHZ RAM. Thats way overkill. I put 16 gigs for the future. Gaming only need 1600 MHZ RAM.
HDD: The Seagate Barracuda has alot of mixed reviews and I had problems with them (DOA). I would go with Western Digital Caviar Blue. Same thing for cheaper.
GPU: The Galaxy HOF 780 is a better card. It has a white PCB and has most likely the best cooler. You also can overclock the shit out of it.
P.S. My build is on my first post. And I didn't talk about the tings that you kept the same.
