1440p Help!

Hey guys. Recently my 42" led Tv crapped out. I got my money back today (bought it at Costco :-D). I now got $500 to play with. My system is as follows:

Bitfenix Prodigy

Asrock a88x-itx+

X4 740 (oc'd to 4.0 ghz)

GTX 670 FTW edition

8gb Gskill 2400mhz ram

Cx 600w PSU

128gb 840 SSD

3tb Seagate HDD

Kuhler h2o 950 (got incredibly cheap)

I got the CPU free I know its underpowered. I have a feeling next gen FX will move over to FM2+ (excavator). Anyways I've had my eye on some 2560x1440 Korean panels on EBAY. My question is would my CPU bottleneck so extensively it would be unplayable. Keep in mind I still have some money left over for a possible CPU/MOBO upgrade (although I'd prefer not to). I'm kinda hoping to hold out until 2015s excavator CPUs as Kaveri has done nothing to the CPU side. I'm not worried about maxing stuff out as I just moved over from Consoles so even 1080p is glorious!

Your GPU is responsible for pushing pixels at 1440p. The 670 should be sufficient at that resolution, but I think it will be better suited to 1080p.

You should consider spending $200 on a 1080p monitor. Perhaps a platform upgrade, something like a core i5. You will get a bit more juice out of the 670 with a better processor.

But if you do want to use a 1440p panel, the 670 will have a reasonable level of performance.
