Below is an article from Clayton Gewin. I thought I'd share it, enjoy <3
"Intel just announced a bunch of new 14 nm processors at CES based on the 5th generation Intel® Core™ processor architecture. These new chips will be available this month in stores, so it’s a good idea to bone up on the details. These chips are technically a “tick” in Intel’s tick-tock cadence which means it is a new process technology. Intel® HD Graphics get a significant bump with 5500, 6000 and 6100 versions. The new Intel® Core™ processor lineup will feature anywhere from 23 to 48 execution units and promises to significantly improve graphics performance. 4K (Ultra High Definition) is supported as well. 5th generation parts will be easy to identify by the 5 in their processor number (example: Intel® Core™ i7-5557 U Processor). All of the specs are live at:

Mobile will be the focus for these chips and energy efficiency has again improved. There are also some interesting platform technologies such as Intel® Smart Sound Technology. This enables a wake-on-voice technology that’s pretty cool. It also reduces power consumption. Intel® Wireless Display 5.1 is now available, as well, and supports 4K/UHD with a driver update due in January. You can check out the new stick form factor for the Intel® Wireless Display compatible Actiontec Screenbeam mini 2* here:

Finally, there is a new Wireless AC adapter: the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265. It brings greater energy efficiency and support for Windows InstantGO* technology. You can check out the specs here:
