14.1 driver major issue

Hello all. I saw the 14.1 drivers were released abd wanted to test them out. So i unistalled my current drivers, used driver sweeper, then installed the 14.1 after reboot my screen was black and stayed black till reboot. The screen goes black everytime i boot normally.

 

I thought maybe the drivers are buggy and went to go back to 13.12. Booted in safe mode ans git rud of the 14.1 drivers and reinstalled 13.12 and sane issue.

 

How can i resolve this?

Hmm, that's strange. I have not seen a lot of issues regarding 14.1, though in some games like Chivalry my fps has gone down the crapper. Considering re-installing 13.12 also. I don't see why you are experiencing the issues though, have you tried all the ports out of your GPU?

Chances are those mantle drivers have bricked your os. If you can remove all of it via this >http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/display_driver_uninstaller_download.html and then reinstall the latest non-mantle driver suite then all is well. Otherwise its reinstall OS time.

Mantle is only supporting a few cards at the present time anyways. Probably why there is trouble all over the internet with these drivers.

I resolved this issue through system restore. No matter what driver i installed it gave me the same thing, so i deleted the drivers booted up and did the restore. Went back and redid the process of wiping my drivers and installing 14.1 and it worked. Though it was kind of pointless as i got them for mantle on BF4 but it seems there is no triple buffering so FPS drops down to 30 FPS from 60 quite a bit.

The instructions for installing the 14.1 mantel drivers specifically mentions NOT USING DRIVER SWEEPER  and using the AMD utility to uninstall your current drivers before installing; But ya I have seen a few bugs with my system while using them as well so I'm dual booting 8.1 with and without mantel because of the issues it causes with games that aren't BF4.

You shouldn't have used driver sweeper. Reinstall the OS.
