Obviously there is going to be a big hole in someones pocket, but this would be amazing for a ram disk, or a s*** ton of virtual desktops. Thoughts/ uses for it?

Well, if you populate all the DIMM slots on a quad Xeon board with these you could run enough VMs to take over the world. Or you know, super powerful microservers, tons of fun stuff like that.

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo PUT THEM ON THIS BOARD! http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon/C600/X10QBI.cfm

SUPPORTS UP TO 6TBS WORTH OF RAM!!!

Google servers cache everything in ram

Stop it.  You're giving my 16GB of ram an inferiority complex...  Not cool.

Looks promising, if expensive.

6tb of ram. Im going to have to rob microcenter.
