ok so my mb only supports sata 2 the vertex 2 is much cheaper than the other two. will it be worth it to get the samsung or intel ssd.

Don't get the Vertex OCZ is probably going under so no warranty. With the Samsung of the Intel in won't make a huge difference they're both great SSDs.

Your MOBO will limit it but if you ever think you're going to upgrade with this SSD then yes.
dont think ill be upgrading, i realise the sata 3 drive will be caped but im not sure whether the difference between what id get with a sata 2 compared with a sata 3 would be significant
A sata 2 SSD is still worth the money absolutely.
