1200$ Gaming/Video Editing Build?

Alright, so a brief run down of what I need. I need a computer that will be able to render/edit videos fast, but most primarily be able to play games and record (such as Black Ops 2, Battlefield 3, etc.). I have a 1200$ budget (including the money needed for a gaming mouse, gaming keyboard, and Windows 7 as well as a WiFi Adapter). I've never built a computer before, but I have a general understanding of most things about the processor, GPU, etc.

Thanks!

What is editing sofware will you be using? Also do you need a monitor as well?

Don't know much about Wi-Fi adapters so if someone else could recommend one then great.

This will max out any game other than Crysis 3

Forget about a "gaming" mouse and keyboard, while they are cool little toys to have, the truth is that unless you are playing pro sc2, they will not affect your gaming performance. As for the wifi adaptor, just buy a cheap USB dongle or something. there is no need to go and buy one of the $100 ones unless you really need it.22:39:06

Pig put a really nice little build together.

SSJ11 - Sony Vegas Pro 11/12 And I already have 100$ towards a monitor from Newegg.

Thanks pig!

Just a tiiiiiny bit over budget but you get a very great system.

If you use vegas instead of adobe I would recommend a 7970 instead of a 670. (referring to pig's build)

Here is an Intel Rig i put together

Same price but it will Render Everything Much faster than the 8350+GTX670 if your using OpenCL, and if you want to get a 7970 just Drop the Processor to a 3570K (works better with Open CL implementation)

Everyone loves the G400 so i feel confortable recommending over the DeathAdder.

Also wated to make sure you got a mechanical keyboard too.

7970 will do amazing in games.

Use dxtory with this setup, forget about loosing frames in games while recording.

I trust the motherboard. Has USB3. reviews look good. SLI ready. $94. Can't complain.

Thanks so much guys for the fast responses as I was planning on ordering everything tomorrow :D Right now I'm liking the Intel option the best atm.

Go with what you feel is best, but remember, that intel option didn't have a mouse or keybord. o_o

However if you can afford to get the intel option and get a mouse and keyboard then go for it man.

I'd choose the 8350 build, personally. You're going to get great gaming performance from it.

Silly toast, that much is already apparent because you have one. I agree entirely. More bang for your buck.

You really think a AMD would be better than Intel? o.O

The 8350 is on par with the 3770k for gaming and is way cheaper. That means you're gonna get more out of the 8350 build (like a 7970)

Definitley not on par for Gaming or Rendering, Only Price to performance, and the 3570K is faster and works better with Open CL

And at the same clock it will beat the 8350 at rendering, not to mention it has the IGPU to use for Encoding, with all this being said though the 8350 platform although slightly slower will also be 30-50$ less.
