Ok so I've installed the 12.11 driver, but when I look at what driver my gpu is using it says 9.10.8
This is annoying because im obviously losing out on a LOT of performance. Im a fat n00b so is there something else I need to do to apply this driver to my graphics card?
internal driver numbers are not version numbers
9.10.8 is a number windows generates based on hardware type, manufacturer, port and other things
Ok, but how do I know im using the 12.11 driver?
well, if you downloaded it. It's probably on your computer.
look in catalyst control center for catalyst version, which is the only number that matters
