10g FC NICs for Centos 7 and Rocky 8.x

We’re in the process of migrating from Centos 7 to Rocky 8.5. We have a few machines that we need to crank up to 10gb fiber. I haven’t had much exposure to fiber aside from having to deal with budget SFP+ modules that we were saddled with so some insight would be helpful.

I need cards that can do SR/IOV so we can throw them into a hypervisor if we choose to go that route. Mid-tier with 2 ports, we don’t need much of a feature set, just something that plays nice with Centos, RH and Rocky? Let me know please.

Intel X720-da2 or mellanox connectx-4, depending on budget and brand preference
