Hey, I'm doing this $1000 build for a friend and his only going to be using it for normal gaming, nothing to instense I was wondering was this one a good one for him. Before you start saying what could be changed, he wanted the case and monitor and keyboard on it.
I cut down on the CPU as gaming won't warrant the 8350 over the 6300 as games still don't use more than 4 threads. I also added in a CPU cooler to keep your CPU temps nice and cool, and if your friend would like, he can always overclock his CPU quite a bit. I reduced the RAM to 8gb since 16gb is completely unnecessary (unless he plans on doing rendering, video editing, etc). The graphics card you chose (in terms of gaming performance) is garbage, so I upped it to a 7870, which will allow him to max out any game at 1080p above 40fps. And for the PSU, get the one HENN3H suggested.
Get a better GPU bro. You don't want to be cheap on that. If you're going for gaming you want as much horsepower from the GPU as you can get for the money. Get a 670 card. It's the best card for price to performance ratio. The 670 is only 5% slower than the 680. Also you should have your priority of always getting a PSU that is 80 plus gold certified. Anything less than that is pretty much garbage. The PSU that you are listing has a lot of ripple and that is BAD. Also I would save yourself a few bucks on the memory and only get 8GBs of 2133mhz. You only need 8GB for gaming. But if you are going to do video editing then I see why you want the extra 8GBs.
Get a better GPU, and cut down on the RAM (8Gb is fine for gaming). If you can find it within your budget, you should get a GTX660Ti or Radeon 7870. Both are INSANE value for money (7870 slightly better, but you can make that decision yourself when you look at prices).
