Hey guys, I'm not impressed by the next gen consoles so I decided to make the jump to PC gaming. My budget is $1000 but $1050 is my absolute maximum.
I want to overclock and in the future I will want to SLI/Crossfire whichever video card I have. I want my build to have a nice colour scheme (Red and black?), the case needs to have a window and the overall computer needs to be pretty quiet.
Thanks in advance for all the helpful tips and I hope to have my own gaming PC soon!
This build will overclock much better, and I even managed to give it a decent looking color sceme. The 6350 will perform slightly worse to an 8350 at stock clock, but with this build you should be able to take it to nearly five GHz, at which point It should beat an 8350, even if it's mildly OC'd, in games.
This build will also allow you to xfire/SLI in the future.
The PH-TC14PE_BK would go to waste on that build, as the M5A99FX PRO R2.0 won't take an 8350 past 4.5 anyway.
Nope logan made a video overclocking a FX8350 to 5ghz on a M5A99FX PRO R2.0.....what will matter is how good the cpu is to get that high(only maybe 5-15% of FX8350's will overclock that high.
The M5A99FX PRO R2.0 is a fantastic mobo and i see no reason to buy a ROG or a sabertooth ect over it ...only if you whanted a better look or some of the more expensive toys they have.
