£1000 gaming computer

I'm going to hopefully buy a computer soon and wannting to build it myself i have made my set up, but i want to have some suggestions on what i could or should change.

Set-up:

Intel i5-3570k: £166.79

Asrock Z77 extreme6: £128.33

Corsair H80i: £75.99

Patriot 8Gb 2133Mhz Memory: £51.20

Corsair GS800: £80.92

Samsung 840 series 250Gb SSD: £128.98

MSI GTX660ti Power Edition: £245.40

Thermaltake Chaser A-31: £79.99

Total £957.60

What you plan on using the PC for?

IF i were you, I would go AMD (graphics AND processor). Switching the i5 for an 8350 would increase your performance in newer games. For example, Crysis 3 really takes advantage of extra core. Also if you plan on streaming, its nice to have leftover cores to run Xsplit. Also a 7950 performs really well (usually better than the 660ti). so yea...

ill go look at them parts now,

can you recomend any good 7950??

and peps1 its for gaming

Then Id go 7950...but Id keep the i5

That mobo only supports 1600/1333/1066mhz ram or  2800+(OC)/2400(OC)/2133(OC)/1866(OC) as overclocks (intel i5 chip set is narrative to 1600mhz enyway)

Buy  lower mhz ram and overclock  (it will be cheaper to)

£100 on a case, but only £170 for the GPU for a gaming rig...... o_O

asus has a really good 7950. However, it has its down sides. It costs a bit more than other 7950s. Also, it is a triple slot card. If either of these is a problem, XFX is also a good choice.

Regan read psps1 comment hes right mostly cos its a going mainly into gaming so i want a better gpu than that

and cooperman thanks i havent realised that x_x but thats true, thanks

The case may seem pricey still but has good cable management and noise dampening.

I know, I have one......but there are cases for a lot less that do just as well.

Dont get me wrong, love the 7870 XT, and love the C70....but that just seems a little style over substance, considering the performance boost the OP could get from the next card up and a cheaper case.
