Been looking around a new pc and looked on some general videos on youtube on simillar budget builds to get the idea of whats good and whats not for the money
Then i found the #Kill your console builds and looked upon the 800$ one and got intrestend but then i thought about future proofing and how to update it to my 1000$ for perfomance and future-proof'ing
And heres the question what should i change in the build , or should i say how should i re-do it to be high in the performance league and also future-proof and ofcourse the budget.
The general benchmark of the pc perfomance should be Dayz Standalone,TitanFall, Assasins Creed Black Flag and BF4 or Ghosts.I would like theese games to run on high settings with high fps ( well decent on Dayz Standalone couse it eats them like chips)

Your own or found builds generaly not based on this video within the budget lines is also acceptable!!!
Go for the i5 3570k 16gb ram, and the gtx 770 or r9 280x. Keep in mind that you will have to pay for windows and a monitor. The i5 should do you good for the next 3-4 years. 16gb will be plenty for many many years. For the motherboard get whatever board you want. I would recommend spending at least 100 bucks. Get one with great features. I would look around for a 120gb ssd. I saw a pny xlr8 for only 60 bucks on newegg today. I would also look into getting a 1 or 2tb drive if you play a lot of games. For the power supply get the rosewill hive 650 or the xfx 650w. Both are great psus. Whichever one is cheaper. The total for everything except the case comes to 915 dollars. You can pick whichever case you want. I would personally go for the nzxt h440 or the fractal design define r4. Both look great.
Also, if you want to play bf4, go for the r9 280x because of mantle support. Mantle is an api that competes with directx. You can definitely max out bf4 with that card with mantle. But, to be fair, both of those cards shouldn't have a problem with maxing out any games you throw at them. Except crysis or metro. Those games are really taxing on the gpu.
Well by saying FUTURE-PROOFING i mean that the rig will be able to play next gen triple A title games or any other casually high requiring game on high settings after couple of years..
The only game that would make me change my GPU currently is Dayz , becouse if dayz is runnable at high settings-high frames , BF4 should do just awsome
Obviously, you'd need to replace to GPU to fit an SSD into the budget. I skipped on the heatsink. I made it a smaller form factor, just something to consider.
In all of the above builds, the GPU might be too long for the inside the chassis. You can remove a few HDD bays with a screwdriver to ensure you have enough room, and more airflow in addition.
DayZ would probably run better on the Intel build. I played DayZ for a short while, it's not worth the hype.
Most games, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The only "bias" that I can see in your chosen games happens to be the Intel preference that exists in the ARMA engine, which is used in DayZ. But, since that game is still in alpha and the performance is shitty for everyone, it's hard to judge.
I think you would be happy with any of them. You might pick the 8320 for versatility, you might pick the Intel because of the smaller form factor chassis.
I think ill go with the "Pooowa" rig couse it should be simillar in performance to Intel (plus i just read that Dayz Standalone's best performance reaching pc is an AMD and amd gpu running one) , but i think that the additional computing power will give me more future compatibility and performance and i will be more on the long term usage line with this instead of the intel
The R9 290 is a top performer, and really good for the price. It loves higher resolutions panels, it's good for productivity. You can include an SSD at a later time. I think choosing the higher performing GPU is a smart choice.
I am surprised to hear that the best performing DayZ rig was an AMD chip. I mean, they are good, but I thought Intel would have taken the cake on that particular game.
Well actually me running a good CPU right now and a shit GPU the perfomance is shit, well my computer costed 1200$, it was top notch in budget gaming (and non budget) and all the parts were the best at the time for performance ( 2008) and now it runs dayz mod at like 20-25 fps on low, dayz mod epoch on 40-55 and dayz standalone on mid without Anti-Aliasing Vsing and FXXA at 40-48 in small cities and forests , 20-15 in big ones , so as u can see dayz standalone is like 85% based on GPU , but it shortened as it developed ( mod to standalone ) so i can completely understand why AMD one , couse CPU doesnt cut mutch
Ok, fair enough. Usually, when someone has an existing system, the system itself is actually competitive - but they don't realise it. So many people with Sandybridge processors that desire upgrades 0.0
The system is kinda competetive but one more year and the rig will basicly be useless, or un-playable. I will turn it to a super silent over night download/couch movie watching pc.. i think it will be good at it ;D
I built this for my son... he only plays Minecraft now because he's still too young for the adult games, but in the future all we would have to change is the GPU to get his fps up to a playable level for the advanced games. I might even just CrossFire his R7-260X setup because I think Mantle and TrueAudio is cool tech. This system has all peripherals (w/operating system) for close to U.S. $1000. http://pcpartpicker.com/b/OsV
