£1000 Build - Seek Advice on build

Hi Everyone, I received some amazing advice and got this build which i think looks pretty good. I just wanted to check one last time with everyone to see what they think of the build as i am about to spend £1000+ so could you please provide me with any advice on this build:

The PC will be for around £1000 which i will end up using Gaming mostly.

  1. Budget = £1000 or $1700
  2. Where do I live = United Kingdom (Currency = GBP £)
  3. I will use the computer mainly for Gaming and hope for it be sustainable to keep buying better parts
  4. I want to get into Overclocking if possible
  5. Water-cooling is an Option
  6. OS will be required
  7. I would like to play games at the highest possible setting for that price
  8. Keyboards and Mouse i will also require but it doesn't bother me if it is amazing or not
  9. Looking for a decent monitor to help deliver the performance of the Graphics card

Your support will be much appreciated, Thank you all for your help!!

It sounds like a great build so far, but i have so recommendations.

Corsair ram is one of the best, but HyperX fury ram is amazing as well, and its a tad cheaper.

the video card is good as well, but you can also choose a GTX 770 if you want, but the 280x and 770 preform about the same.

the cpu is okay, but for a $1700 build, i strongly recommend an intel cpu (I7 4770k should do it) and the Asus Z97-A motherboard (LGA 1150 socket).  If you switch to intel, i would also get the gtx 770, as it preforms quite well with intel.

The SSD is great, but if you want a bit better performance get the HyperX 3k

The power supply is okay, but i would recommend a seasonic or corsair PSU (e.i RM750)

If you're on a budget for keyboard and mouse, i would recommend the Corsair Raptor k-40 and the vengeance M-65, but if not, get the corsair vengeance K-70 instead of the k-40

I would also say, get Windows 8.1, its better, its the same price, and its safer.  with StartIsBack, its almost the same as windows 7.

Any monitor that is/or above 60hz w/t a 2ms response time should be good for gaming, i would recommend a benQ or Asus or LG.

If you want to water-cool, go with the h-100i if you want to over clock, but if not, you don't have to water-cool, and just stick with the 212 Evo

You'll get great performance with these components.  And you can go SLI/Crossfire later, if you want to upgrade.

I would also get 16gb of ram to start for upgradability purposes, so you don't have to repurchase all your ram when the slots are full (if you want 32GB eventually)

Do you understand that he is in the uk and his budget is £1000 which can get you a lot less than $1700 would because of tax

I appreciate the help thank you - sadly some of your suggestions would take the cost of the build way over the budget! But i do appreciate your time in giving the advice!

Why did you made a new thread?

They are not the same, I stated i received this advice in previous threads but also said before i purchase the build if there is any final recommendations as it is a large investment :)

ahh, i did not consider that, thank you for correcting me

have you considered the black and red h440 as it will match the colour scheme better or are you really bothered about it ?

Here is a build that is much more powerful for 50 pound more

You could put in an AMD r9-290 to bring the cost down a bit more too.

Thank you all for your advice, i have made a few changes and even tried to colour coordinate my build. This is what i am left with:

What do you guys think?

Try this motherboard for color: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-z97g45gaming

Is there any difference in performance?

They will both perform similarly. The ASUS has an intel nic. I would rather take that.

Do you think choosing an Asus or MSI Motherboard would have any impact on a Asus graphics card?

Dude your first pcpartpicker link looks very similar to my first build: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/b/PQWZxr

There should be no difference in performance.

There should be no different in performance, Asus used to have some unique sensor info when using their products in conjunction, but I dont think they do that any more.. and either way it doesnt affect performance.

Thank you all for your help :)

I appreciate all your help and i have finally ordered my first build! Fingers crossed!
