100$ Closed-back headphones

I am looking for a decent 100$ closed-back over-ear headphone for my girlfriends birthday.

She wants headphones to use in the office without leaking to much of her music into the room. She primarily listens to hip hop and electronic music or therefore prefers a little extra oomph to the bass, without the bass getting gimmicky and overpowering. Also her head isn't very large, so headphone with super wide headbands wont fit her very well. Looks doesn't matter to much.

So far the only set I've come across that remotely matches her needs are the Shure SRH550DJ, but i am not to happy about the build quality, the width of the headband and the cable design.

I've been looking quite a bit for headphone who match these criteria but without much luck. I was hoping someone could give me a couple of good suggestions to check out.

Also comments on the Shure are welcome as well.

Many thanks in advance

haha i have the same small head problem as your girlfriend but have a look at thies they cost around £75 and are the best headphones i have ever had.

Advantages:

small head band

dont let any noise out

closed back

look nice

detectable mic

really good base

lots of sound options

durable

and finally easy to fix (my cat chewed thru the cable on it all i had to do was take the wire from another headset and stick it on good as new)

disadvantages

the cable is way too long but you can shorten it 4m

p.s you can use it for PC/ ipods/ xbox/ ps/ any thing with a usb or headphone jack

Thanks for the advice.

I went out and listened to a bunch of headphones today and was almost about to give up when i found some Audio Technica M50 at a huge discount. Tried them on, threw a lot of different gernes at them and they just sounded great all the way. I even tried them with some games when i got home and i must say part of me hopes my gf doesn't like them or cant fit them so i can keep them for my self.
