10 GBe at -40 degrees

Any one know of a PCie NIC card with 10Gbe or even 2.5 Gbe capability that is specified to -40 ?

I can find SFP that are qualified to -40, but no cards to fit them into or a card that has 10 Gbe in any form.

Wife said fiber is the way to go for sure for cabling (She worked at the South Pole on a detector there) So we need to deff look for a SFP+ NIC

I would probably just contact intel to see what they recommend.

Seems like this is one should work idk about the air flow being required at the low end

Also might be less interface cards.

totally jelly i always wanted to do a tour there.

All I got was a trip to NZ that was pretty bomb out of it, but if you want to go and are healthy you can do a winter over if you have skills that are needed.

i dont think my family would like me to be gone that long.

Psh all that money tho

Good that she specified for cabling, otherwise you could have mistaken it for critique on your diet :upside_down_face:
